 Don't let the name mislead you. These scissors are my "go-to" scissors when I'm sitting at my sewing machine. They cut thread authoritatively, as well as binding ends, patchwork points, and even clothesline when I'm bowling. I suppose if I embroidered, I'd use them to cut floss too, but dainty little things they are not.
Comfort handles make these workhorse scissors even more attractive. Get one for home and one for travel.
