Dear, dear Ami!
Just had to send a quick note to THANK you for writing Invisible Applique. I would like to say I'm an experienced quilter since I've been playing with fabric and making quilts for about 5 years. I've even managed to finish some quilts and they are either on the walls or on beds. Anyway, I've always shied away from applique but saw your video on QNN and decided to order your book.
My life has been changed for ever! I tried needle turn and my work looked like crap and I tossed the sample away. Don't like the ridges when I used iron-on interfacing. Your method is so much fun and now I too can create beautiful appliquéd stuff. I did something I haven't done in a long time...read all the instructions before starting a project! Used my yellow high lighter while reading info I thought I may need to refer to later.
Unfortunately, I have now added at least three appliqué projects to my To Do List and I have a feeling they may jump to the top of the list...isn't that wonderful?"

I just wanted to show you what a monster you have created. (And you didn't even know it.) I began quilting in 1986 and at that time was sure that I would never, NEVER make an appliquéd quilt. Sometime later I purchased your "Invisible Appliqué" book and taught myself your wonderful technique. Since that time I have completed three applique projects... I sing your method's praises whereever I can.
