It's crunch time for Houston. All the Priority: Alzheiemer's Quilts that are going to Houston have been picked, piled, priced, and processed. Well, almost. The price tags will go on in a few days, and I'm working on the Master List right now. There are too many quilts to pack them in our suitcases this year — more than twice the number we brought last year, so they will have to be shipped ahead.

At last count there are just over 800 quilts. Not the 1,000 I wanted, but I don't know where I would have put another 200 quilts! Below is a link to a YouTube video so you can see how I've kept the quilts. They were under covers to keep the light and dust out, but here they are revealed! Turn the volume all the way down to "off" and you'll enjoy it more.

If your quilt isn't on its way to Texas, that just means I have some reserves to auction and sell when I get home. We're no where near the end of this project. That's coming in July 2009, so you have some time. Just don't wait until the last minute.

Everyone who has ever donated, bid on, or bought a Priority: Alzheimer's Quilt needs to ad their name to the AAQI Honor Roll. Your name will be listed for all to see, showing that you support the efforts of the AAQI, and it will motivate others to help us. Don't be shy!
