These "squeezie-type" scissors pack a 3" blade and enough muscle to cut through 8 layers of tightly-woven (200 thread count) cotton fabrics, like those gorgeous batiks from Hoffman California Fabrics. After about 200 cuts (a little over 1/3 of the way through the fringe of my new Rag Fur Jacket pattern), you'll want to wipe off the fuzz, apply a dab of oil to the blades, and turn the screw counter-clockwise about 1/16th of a turn. Presto, change-o and they work like new! These are the best scissors I've found for this project! |
